Maggie's New Moves

Maggie loves to dance. Anytime she hears music, she starts bopping along.

Christmas Carol

In ballet this past week, Carly's ballet teacher had each girl come up on stage and sing a solo. She thought this would help them get used to performing in front of a crowd for their May recital. After class, she stopped me and said, Carly has not said a word in here all year (shocking!!! thought she was actually kidding when she said that)...Then she went on to say that when it was Carly's turn she got up on stage and sang all four verses of Mary Had a Little Lamb extremely loud. What was funny to me was that she was surprised Carly did that. So...since Carly serenades me all day long (does she have some of Pop's genes?) thought I would share a little of her skills.

Our newest cousin

Over Thanksgiving we met Callum. He's five months younger than Maggie but already 2 pounds heavier! So chunky and cute. Maggie enjoyed patting his head (sometimes it was a little more like a smack). He was always a good sport.

A Happy Model

Maggie was very willing to pose for pictures in her new tutu Oma created.

Funny Faces

8 MONTHS

We tried taping the 8 month sign to Maggie this month. She was still not happy about the documentation of another month older.

Another "Bestibal"

2 Weeks ago we went took Carly to the Homecoming "Bestibal" at UT...the Festival was a lot more fun then the actual game. In case you can't tell from the pics, Carly is holding an "ewephant on a weash". She was mesmorized by the man who could create anything you asked out of a balloon. So, she came up with an elephant on a leash to challenge him. We have no idea where this came from...but she was determined to have him make her one. The balloon maker said that was the first request for an elephant on a leash he had ever received. He even had her say it three times because he liked the sound of it. Another great "bestibal"....

Raiding Granny's Closet

Carly and Fletcher were cracking us up modeling shoes and then later hats and gloves from granny's closet.

Oma's latest creation

Carly looked like such a big girl when she wore this new dress. She was so excited that she had to go show her old teacher Mrs. Kelly how grown up she looked.

First Bow

Maggie modeling her first time to wear a bow - (in her pajamas!)

Pumpkin becomes a Jack-O-Latern

Carly and Mike had fun carving the pumpkin. Carly designed the mouth, I did the nose, and Mike did the eyes. She was pretty happy with the results.

New Digs

Carly enjoyed modeling her new outfit that Oma made. She can't wait to show it to Frances!

Photo Shoot

Since Maggie did not cooperate too well w/her Christening gown professional pictures, she and I decided to have our own session. She was much more cooperative this time...unfortunately, the backdrop and photographer were needing some serious help!

Fall Festival

Carly is loving the fall festivals!!! She went to two this past Sunday. Hot dogs, popcorn, art, and bouncy gyms - she was in heaven. She wants to do every activity, craft, event. She got to pet the biggest bunny in Columbia. She raced through an obstacle course with 11 and 12 year old boys. She tried to race her friend Sarah Campbell - but Sarah Campbell got stuck in the middle and started dancing. Then Carly was sad that she had not thought of stopping and dancing. Unfortunately, the rule was no dancing so Sarah Campbell was disqualified from the obstacle course which did not seem to phase either girl. Carly was very proud of her spider hat (pictured above) and her cat balloon hat (top picture).

Pumpkins

Carly and Daddy picked out these pumpkins on Monday. I was pretty impressed with their selection. Carly is asking every hour when we get to carve them.
